T-bone mics...

So...I'm sure a number of people here have heard of these...and some maybe experienced them..

2 questions:

1) which - if any- would you say are particularly good?

2) many of these are based on 'classic' mic models...what's based on what? (eg, their sm57/58 rip-offs are pretty obvious...but I'm not much of a mic expert, so others would be helpful..)

I'm not currently after anything in particular, but want to know what's what for when I do need to get something (if i go with t-bone)
