Johnny the Boy is an unknown quantity at this point
As you turn down the Dynamics slider, the noise gate goes away. With this slider down, you need the volume way higher though - with Dynamics up, I have the volume at just a touch above zero and I can control gain easier. I remember reading that the Sustain knob controlled compression, but it just controls how long the gate stays open after initial attack (I estimate at full sustain, it stays open for well over ten seconds if you play a single note and stop playing). It's not intrusive, but it is fairly obvious and inseperable from the Dynamics control so if you're not a fan of noise gates you may not use the envelope feature as much. However, because it's a threshold with a timer, turn the Sustain to full and you'll likely only hear it open once.

It's the exact same size / layout as a Microsynth or a POG, so the In and Out are along the leftmost top of the pedal. The In is left of the Out, so if you want to run anything before it, you'll need a 'slightly longer than usual' patch cord. It's a bit wider than the NYC Big Muffs, and it's a little pricey, but totally worth it IMO.

FWIW I was at Long & Mcquade buying 12AT7's yesterday and the Calgary store got a huge EHX shipment, including a Graphic Fuzz. If you don't mind paying full price, check and see if they got one in your neck of the woods. If they don't, you could probably have it transferred out there no problem (assuming it doesn't sell).

PS: Don't even worry about all the questions, that's why I joined this forum!
