The Deluxe has more than just volume going for it against your Blues Jr. It sounds bigger and better over all. with a deeper reverb and better breakup. If you really think you need more amp than 22 watts, try a Super Reverb. The thing with the Deluxe Reverb is that you need to run it right up to subtle breakup then back off just a tad. Thats when it really sings. It should be all that you need for the size crowds you're talking about. If you're playing to a larger crowd than that, I'd really suggest that you mic as many instruments as possible. your PA mains will have a better spread than most any guitar cab.
