Here are some pictures of the guts....you can see that it looks like at some point someone used electrical tape on the wire that goes to the battery...

Also, another question (and there is where I'm going to sound like an idiot)...it shouldn't matter the type of amp I am hooking it up to, right? I am trying to get this to work with a small, Combo amp that has some effects built in (but I shut all the effects off and put it on the "clean" setting). Just wanted to make sure that wouldn't affect it either....thanks!
