As for your question regarding wahs, I think they're mostly just used as filter effects in this type of music (if at all), so I wouldn't be too concerned with one wah being more suitable than another. |

As for phasers, for ambient there's more of a tendancy towards tremolo, vibratio/univibe, rotary, those kinds of modulation. Again, maybe you'll be carving out new territory! |
