I myself have never had an amp with an fx loop. However I do have a tiny terror. One thing I do like about using analog delays with the terror is that as things start to oscillate and break up the amp starts distorting more giving a snowball effect of awesomeness. As for reverbs it should be fine at least mine is. As with all things with tiny terrors, your only short coming is headroom. But then again that's what it was made for. Best thing to do is just try it out. I've never known any difference so I cannot compare both sides but I have never had any problems running fx before an amp.
