There is a lot of erroneous data out there. I know I've heard a Micro Synth on some of their b-sides, and esp. their Cars cover on the Aeroplane Flies High Box set. And of course on Starla. Plus the Fender Blender, which you can hear mixed in the distortion on Quiet.

What he might have done is mixed the Micro Synth in with the sound, but I doubt that he ran it with 100% saturation on all the solos.
