Is it difficult to record an acoustic, or am I missing something??

Hey folks,

I've been recording at home and although I (think to) have decent gear, I'm having a really hard time at putting on record an acoustic guitar.

I own an Alhambra steel string W model (you can check for it here: Alhambra Acoustic Steel String Guitars. Classical Guitar Articles. Classical Guitars PLUS.), a freaking good sounding guitar, with a Fishman prefix plus PU. I record using a Line 6 KB 37.

Thing is, the acoustic amp on the KB37 sounds like sh*t and I really like of the guitar miked through the internal condenser microphone straight into ableton live 7. However, whenever I do this, I just get low volume and a huge amount of hum, regardless of using the piezo or the microphone, just as DIing the guitar through the microphone in or throug the instrument in.

So, yesterday I was pulling my hair and getting really crazy over this and I remembered to ask you guys, before I throw myself out the window

You got any tips on this?

Thank you a gazzillion times for answers!
