The one you posted is the oversized one, so yes, it'll be heavier. If portability is what you need, I'd say do it! What have you got to loose besides 200 bucks? Pedals cost that much these days.... Though, I'd say tolex it, and go for awesome! There's not much you're gonna loose really. Though, may turn into a totally different beast all together, I'm not a fan of open or ported backs myself.... Be aware, this may cause tube rattle as well, as the unit is more solid, and may rattle springs more.
