because this gives you FEEDBACK control over the loop. YOu will be able to have earlier loops fade out naturally instead of repeating endlessly.

OK, after having slept (didn't run those errands, though, shucks), tried out this idea, and I think I've done no less than revolutionize guitar playing, nay, sound period. Really a clever means of looping. Thanks for the tip.
