I thought it'd be the power tube. I emailed the nearest Mesa repair shop and they keep telling me to get the transformer changed. its only another $500 on top of it, and then I have wasted $269 on the power converter. Small change

Naturally I'd LIKE to be able to fork over $500 for a transformer replacement, but it's not possible when I'm saving for some cabinets.

I'm going to chat to one of my favourite bands and offer to let them use it, for free of course, whenever they want to do some recording. They both (2 guitarists in the band) use Rectifiers (one was the very first official one in Australia which toured with Soundgarden) I don't there would be anything cooler than hearing my amp on one of my favourite band's cds
