Ok, my first question is what's the difference between a noise suppressor (Boss ns-2) and a noise gate (mxr smartgate)? Are they the same thing? If they are, then here's a couple more questions:
Will they get rif of 60's cycle hum and microphonics? If placed before the amp or distortion box, will they still prevent noise, or does it have to go in the fx loop or after the dist. box?
And finally, I've read that the best noise gate out there is the ISP decimator. Is this true? It's supposed to be the better offspring of the HUSH pedals.
