I was trying to find out information about it, and I was looking at the back of the headstock and noticed there is a 2 at the top. Is this the guitar's serial number?

It's kind of beat up, and the pickgaurd fell off, but it's still a nice guitar I suppose. This guy who owns a local shop said he's trade me any guitar in his shop for it. The most expensive guitar I've seen was some Taylor anniversay edition that was $3000. He may have some that are more costly. Is it really worth that much?
