EDIT: speaking of simplicity, i was never a big fan of using tons of effects. I try to keep my rig sounding natural. You'll notice that most of the effects i have aren't anything fancy, just things to add texture to my sound, not something that'll make me sound like a damn synth. I hate it when people have all these flanger, phaser, octave, tremolo and a million pedals who, in the end, just take away the true joy of guitar (that's just how i think). In one way, this is why i respect Angus Young so much, the guy didn't even use any distortion! his distortion came from his clean channell being pumped up too loud. heh.
