As much as I don't like the lack of bass presence, that muddy, angular, and distant sound is the kind I like. I think it's ominous, especially when it comes to the clean guitar. I'm the type of person that sets up the EQ on my stereo with a boost around 4k. I just like that jagged frequency range.
