In an actual, physical war, SS would win (and I'm not just saying that because I'm a grammar nazi). They're lighter, there are more of them, they're more durable, cheaper, faster-replaced...

Also, it would be really hard to make a tube circuit for shooting guns. Though once we go down that road, digital amps are the clear winners.
