Would a Danelectro DA-1 power supply work with a Boss SD-1?

I really don't know anything about power supplies, and I think that 20US for an adapter is kinda much..

Or does an SD-1 NEEED that Boss adapter?

Or how about any other cheaper-than-20US adapters that work fine with an SD-1?
