I will probably go with the two stereo amps. I like to have the placement of the sound diffrent and not coming from one amp in front, I like to pan them. Although a mixer would probably work well for right now, cause affording two jazz choruses seems like a stretch for me.
I have been thinking about getting keyboard amps for them too. I use the orchestra patches quite often and thought that a keyboard amp would put across all the sound better than a guitar amp. But I don't know much about keyboard amps so I stayed away. But you make a good point with the universal speakers. I may have to start doing some resarch on keyboard amps.
