My old bass player was a huge krautrock fan - on our last tour we were driving along the autobahn with his self burnt 'best of krautrock' cd cranked - too much fun. It amazes me how many indie/postrock bands sound uncannily like can and neu at times (although without the spark of originality ) Especially the beats and drum fills. (I'm looking at you Life Without Buildings).

For the truly out their, check out Mythos. The cover art says it all - giant eyeball head type things with viking helmets and converse all stars. That's what it's all about...

Also. I got to see Damo Suzuki with a bunch of people including Omar or whatever hios name his from the Mars Volta. What a fine gig that was.
