Buy a line 6 FM4 . It is one of the best pedals for strange sounds and creating some really good use able avant-garde tones. Though it takes alot of experimenting, the more time energy you spend in messing with it the better and better it gets though I consider the synths more of strange fuzzs as compared to actual synth stuff
