okay, based on pictures from 'the name of the band is talking heads', watching 'stop making sense' nonstop and some creative guessing it seems that david and jerry both began using jc-120s around the time that adrian belew showed up. david also uses the jc-120 for his acoustic. he mostly used a beat up 60's strat, probably a 62 or so and a boss plastic pedal board, with a dm-2, purple flanger, and distortion/overdrive among other things. he also used a roland brand synth guitar after belew left. based on sounds during most of his sounds it seems that he preferred solid state exclusively.
