I've seen pictures of him and Harrison with what appear to be Music Man amps during the late 1970s. In the early NYC days they were using Super and Twin Reverbs for the most part (there's plenty of pictures that show the Heads and Television sharing equipment). David never seemed to use his amps for distortion and may have switched to a JC120 prior to Ade joining the live band. In live recordings from '77 David has the same sound he would in 1980-81.
