Just to totally confuse the issue....

I currently use these cabs:

A I took a Hartke 4x10 bass cab (non-ported transporter type)
and replaced the two top speakers with 10" Jensen (Vintage
30 equivalents) and it sounds killer. It can take any bottom
end that I give it and it has enough mids and sparkle due to
the Jensens. It has a nice focused sound as it is a 4x10.

B I have a 2x12 Orange cabinet which had Vintage 30's in it.
I replaced one speaker with a Bag End 12" Bass speaker.

I will say, however, that I will be replacing all the Bass speakers
in these cabinets with PA spec speakers. The PA type are more
expensive, but; the voice coils will not give out due to the distorted frequencies that I'll be giving them. The Bass speakers
will eventually give out because of this.

I am sorry, I am running a Marshall 900 head through them.
