Yeah, I think most people wouldn't call it ambient. To me ambient music doesn't necessarily call for a ton of reverb and delay (assuming that's what you mean. I interpret it more as music where the space, tone and depth of the song are of equal importance to the pitches and rhythms. Electronic reverb and delay are just one way to create space, tone and depth, but not completely essential. Just a personal philosophy...
