If you're looking to A/B a clean amp vs. your distorted Mesa then Twin is no contest IMO.
It has much more headroom than the Vox and would easily hang with the Mesa volume-wise.
However if you are looking to drive an overdriven amp with your TS9 then AC30 is the better choice, although to me that particular combination sounds too nasaly and middy.
