to be honest, I don't really know about the 9005, it's still waiting retubing and general fixing up, only channel B works at the moment...and I'm quite keen to try it with the GFX-1, an FX unit, overdrive etc...it doesn't EQing it wrong, maybe the power amp is f*cked...I don't know...
however, the POD PRO/Marshall 8004 sounds pretty damn great... I bought the 8004 with the GFX-1 and a 1x12 cab for 128 quid, and I plan on selling the 1x12, so it is going to work out as having been very cheap. It's not massively loud (I didn't want something too loud, I use it for practices etc) but it sounds pretty great...very plain tone, but it produces a very faithful reproduction of the POD...in fact at present I'm just running
Guitar-->Pod Pro-->8004-->2x12 and it sounds pretty solid...
...although I'd much rather have your rig...
