berarduur is on a distinguished road
Just got my SYB-3 back from Boss; the bill (and my contact at Boss ) says that there is a lot done to my pedal (potmeter replaced, new IC, 1/2 of the circuit is resoldered); the reason why it behaved like it did is still unknown. Now I am happy to have it working.

My verdict:
ONE COOL PEDAL!

The tracking is (opposed to what people said) brilliant. I can play 16 notes on it; just need to get used to it. The synth modes are excellent and deliver a nice array of tones to my guitar and bass.

What I absolutely LOVE on this is the mode 1-7, all knobs set to the lowest position and the effect knob on full. This way you get the "underlying" synth tone (-envelope) that is really a great "basic" bass-synth tone, just waiting to be altered by a fuzz pedal or more. The octave down on this "basic" tone (as offered by some modes) make my room shake with terror). One minor is the output level on this setting: it is too low . My OD takes care of this.

Oh, and check it out with another synth (stable synth tones), a preamp driven bass (more stability and compression), a digital guitar (wow) and a drum computer (this one is a favourite of mine as my digital guitar has a drum computer build into it )

Any comments??
