I would suggest touched....... but without touching or altering your pedal;
If you add a small clip to your battery clip (opposite of it) and don't screw the pedal that tight close you can run a small wire out of that crack that can connect to a PSU.
This way you can power it by PSU but don't alter the pedal.
And for the Big Muff, I meant that the mod is on my site; find someone around there that can solder a small bit (as it is quite an easy mod that only uses 1 cap, 1 resistor and 1 pot) and let him perform the mod....
