I've heard a little bit about this.

There's something called the 'RoHS' directive, which is a set of guidelines for restricting the amount of certain hazardous elements used in electrical goods.

I think they've restricted use of lead, cadmium, mercury, and some flame retardant polybrominated plastics.

To cut a really long story short, i think a couple of amp lines by a few manufacturers (including Fender) havent meet these guidelines, which means at the moment they cant be imported into the EU until they've replaced components that contain too much of these hazardous materials.

If im wrong though, please correct me, because im only going off what someone told me a few months back.
