DO NOT CONNECT YOUR SPEAKER OUT INTO THE INPUT OF ANY AMP. YOU ARE RIGHT, IT WILL BE A SMOKING DISASTER. However, you can use the pre-out, effects loop out, or even the headphone out iynto the input of an amp if you keep the levels down. Preferably you would run any of those outputs into the main amp in or the effects loop return. You will have the worst fidelity from the headphone out but it will work without damaging either amp.
