What is all this crap about slapping behringer off?!? They make stuff that most people couldn't afford to buy otherwise and then people dump on them for doing so! I admit their gear isn't perfect but there are few pieces of gear that are.
If I keep having problems tracking down a Valveking 112 and I get a chance to try the bulgera amps I will. And hell, if I like it I might just buy it! Is that really so crazy. There are enough bad tube amp companies out there and people still buy their stuff. why not just give 'em a try before we poo all over them!
Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with Behringer if they weren't such an unscrupulous company that blatantly rips off other company's designs and works.(and I'm not talking about Peavey either, seen Behringer's Boss clones lately?) Their customer support is also pretty crappy to boot from all I've read. Add to the fact their own gear is generally shoddy and reguarded as crap by most working pros and well... There you have it.
Personally, I'll stick with my american made, already well proven road worthy gear, thanks. How cheap does it need to be before you think you find something of quality folks??? If you have learned anything by now in this life is that you generally get what you pay for. So far, Peavey's still the best bang for the buck out there. If you think Bugera is all that and a bag of chips then, by all means knock yourself out and get one. Just don't come here and complain in 6 months if your amp falls apart on you and Behringer won't do anything about it. "caveat emptor".
Also, know this. I have learned on the Peavey forums via a forum member there that has confirmed via a phone conversation with Peavey's reps that they are well aware of Behringer's Bugera line and they ARE actively looking into legal action against Behringer. Nothing has been filed yet or announced but you can almost put money on it that you will see a lawsuit against Behringer in the next year or so over thier new Bugera series amps. I'm going to assume this will happen as soon as they arrive in volume in stores.
