I agree -- the 2:90 is overkill. I used the 2:Fifty and the 50:50 years before that and never had the slightest issue driving a 4x12 louder than any sound guy might have wanted on a stage in large clubs.

Also, people overlook the fact that the 2:90 is 5-10 POUNDS heavier than the 2:Fifty... if you want to be able to move your rack without a roadie, it's a subtle but noticeable difference.
