if he can afford Ampeg, then thats the answer, if you look on ampegs website, www.ampeg.com, and you see the "artists" theres anything from Metalplayers to Funkers there
 , other wised, I'd recommend a Peavey for a smaller budget. Ashdown is also very nice (big big money)
