original ampeg speakers??
hi my buddy got an OLD 8 x 10 ampeg cabinet ,but i think the speakers that are in it are garbage, they can't take heavy bass tones, they fart when you hit the stings too hard, also they are no name speakers, what speakers are the best for that vintage heavy bass sound?thanks

What kind of amp is he using? Usually, original Ampeg Speakers can be used for a long time and don't damage that easily.
Can his amp cope with the ohmage / power of the 8x10? Else, contact Ampeg
