They really opened up my Blues Deville. The highs leap out of the speakers, the mids are very focused and have great presence in the mix and the bass is tight.

They have all kinds of harmonics when pushed by the preamp and also when cranked on their own.

that sounds sweet, i really want to pick up a pair of those now. thanks for convincing me. i get my first gig money july 3rd, $100! sounds like small amount but for a non income student whose band still doesnt have a name or a singer, making $100 for myself is an achievement

but on a serious note..ron, can u help me convince ppl that stickies need to have lots of info to be useful and worthy of being stickies..i guess i will just have to search and search to fill in the spaces left over from first post of thread

sg, I'm not into convincing people about posting. If they want to, they will. A post like this should attract attention gradually, like a few other stickys. Perhaps I sticky'd it too soon, but so what? It's definitely a thread that needs to exist.

If you feel so passionate about the thread, do a search for similar threads. I know we have them, it's your task to find them. Post them here and I will merge them.

Yeah the TAD 6L6's are really really good.

These

huge improvement in my amp, i picked the amp up soley because it was such a good deal. i was going to just flip it but after trying new tubes and getting such a vast improvement has cause me to keep it a lot longer then i had expected.
