and sorry mewithoutus, im not sure about what tubes you need, i only know which ones are good, not the exact sound that each type gives as specifically as you need.

i noticed the jj tunes mentioned in passing somewhere on this thread...i recommedd them highly if you want a warm overdrive sound. i swapped their tubes into a fender blues deluxe awhile back that had a tone that was entirely too harsh for me..the difference was night and day...took an amp that sounded like crap and turned it in to a blues beast! their customer service is wonderful too...check em out if you haven't. and no, i'm not getting an endorsement for this LOL.

i think its the same. what you could do, if i dont do it today or tomorrow, would be to email that site and ask.

also, from what i read somewhere, the Chinese Shuguang Company/Factory tubes are the same or very very similar to the Valley Arts...that would also be a good question for any tube site that carries the Shuguang tubes

EI 7025's are great for the clean channel of any amp IMO. I have one in the clean slot of my classic 30 and the amp can get very loud without breaking up.

well, ya. but the way i compiled it i read lots of reviews from tube experts, and personal preferences of guys here on guitargeek and the THD forum and fenderforum.com and a couple others. its not like im taking the best ones that i like as ive only tried a few as of yet, i still have some to review..

basically, the basis for the current production ones is how well they hold up to the NOS ones and how consistent they are to what that tube type is supposed to sound like, tube life, and build quality. for the NOS ones, the basis is THE tubes that defined early Fender and Marshall amps, along with a few other brands of the 60s. the NOS tubes i listed are the best ones according to experts who used tests such as the ones i listed above.

does that help you believe they're not just all my own opinion...the only ones i own are Chinese 12AX7s, Chinese EL34s, NOS 6W6GTs, NOS 6K6GTs, NOS 6V6GTs, and NOS 12AU7 and 12AT7..all my NOS are lesser known, not as popular NOS tubes all made in America i got in a bundle from a forum member on Univalve.net for THD amp owners. and i havent tried any of the NOS yet except the 6W6GTs which sound great, but RCA blackplate and GE 6W6GTs may not be "the best" of that kind based on expert evaluations...its very biased but these are well known highly used and recommended tubes..so u can take my word for it or not and try them and im sure most of them will be to your liking

sry for the rant...i dont like when ppl try to disprove me. cuz i wouldnt say the "BEST" if i didnt think they were or have good reason to say so

i will never make posts this long again i promise
