Celestion Neo Century vs. Vintage 30?

hi, i was wondering if anyone out there has any experiance with the Celestion Century neo speaker against the V30? i'm thinking about changing out the V30 in my amp for the century to shed some weight.

so i'd like to hear your opinions sound wise against the two, i play mostly high gain so will the century hold its own in that area?

Celestion Vintage 30 compared to Celestion Century Vintage

Same speaker, different magnet...and it sound better. Same cone, former, and coil, weight is @3lbs. A very good choice if you are trying to lighten up a Rivera or Egnater or any other 1 or 2 12 combo. Smooth, fast and predictable.

I've just got rid of four of these VC's from a 4x12, and have switched to a 2x12 with V30's.

Over time, I started to find the VC's a bit brittle sounding in the high-end. The low-end was massively lacking compared to the V30's also. If you can afford the weight, I'd say V30's.
