Question clean channel distorting!

i have a triaxis, and i like playing it REAL loud. distortion sounds great but the cleans keep on distorting and i don't like it one bit. can anyone recommend a LOUD clean amp (to be competing with a 90 watt tube amp) that doesn't distort at loud volumes? tube or solid state, it doesn't matter, just as long as it's loud and doesn't distort while it's loud.

the triaxis also has old tubes in it, it hasn't been retubed since like the early 90s (it's a guitar center loaner, they're ordering me a new one and until the new one comes in i'm using this one). could the old tubes cause the clean channels to distort?

Thanks in advance!

Fender Twin Reverb, probably the loudest clean amp available.

I've never played one, but lots of people here love the ampeg v-4 for loud clean stuff.

And, yeah, the olds tubes could cause problems, So I would wait untill you get yours and see if its still an issue

I was going through your equipment list and I've come up with a solution...

Don't use your THD hotplate!

The clean channel shouldn't be distorting, obviously. I suspect the old tubes are the culprit.

i think thats prolly whats a major cause of it. the 81 is definatly not a clean pickup
