help! i have no clean channel!

i just played my dual rectifier and when i switched it to the clean channel, there was nothing coming out of it. channels two and three for the distortion came out alright but i have no out put in my clean! when i stick my overdrive pedal through it (MXR EQ) i can hear a faint sound, but not clean.

is there something wrong with the amp? i don't want to send it back =(

Try switching out the tube for the clean channel, its usually the v1 preamp tube.

If you are looking at the back of the amp the v1 tube, I believe is the one on your left hand side. If the tube is the problem, to prevent it just keep a few extra preamp tubes lying around.

in the rectifier series, there is no separate tube for the clean channel. all of the channels go through the same signal chain. the only difference between channels is in how much attenuation is between gain stages.... lots for clean, and not much for the others. it's more likely that there's a problem with a relay or something. take it to a tech to get it fixed.

alright turns out the problem wasn't the tube, it was the settings. someone was screwing around with it and somehow got it so that it cancelled any signal coming out despite the fact that i had the master up to at least 12 oclock when trying to fix the problem.

thanks guys for the tips.
