Awesome, those are cool amps! If it were me, I might go through some tone withdrawl when changing from the JMP to the JCM 2000. That's just me. But you'll really like the Bogner . . .

Thats funny, thats why I traded my TSL60 for a DSL. 2 TSL footswitches crapped out on me. Since the TSL has a 5 button footswitch (clean, crunch, lead, reverb, FX loop), you cannot just pick one up anywhere. A real pain in the ass. DSL has an easy one button switch available with a 1/4 inch adapter. Plus, that and the only 2 channels I used on the TSL were clean and lead. I just didn't need all that extra stuff.

Look into possibly changing the tubes for the DSL when you get it. I've found that the tone can be a little harsh at times, i know i've been meaning to switch mine out. I'm just not terribly motivated cuz i'm between bands.

I think you made a good choice on the DSL 100. I think you'll be very happy. Let us know how you're doing with it.

i think the rectoverb would be a good choice, even if it is just 50 watts. otherwise, the marshall dsl100 is the best option

I had the TSL and had the SAME problems as everyone else. Two footswtiches crapped out. Also, the whole thing just died once. Took four weeks to repair. I sold it, and got a Vox AD120VTX. I like it, but I yearn for a DSL 100. I agree with the guy that said they have better tone than the TSL. Totally true !! I thought the TSL was supposed to be better than the DSL (what with having another channel), but I was wrong.

DSL is a good choice for what you said you wanted. Warmth, power, nice clean channel, reverb. Great amp.

Check out ebay. I personally didn't like the DSL that i played. Have you played one?

The distortion was harsh to me...i played through a marshall cab with greenbacks and a marshall cab with v30s.

I bought a rectoverb. Real nice (it is "only" 50 watts but is super loud...more than most people need). I would look at those as well. Reverb for each channel, clean channel, drive channel. Dont let it fool you that mesa eqs are not simple they are. There is an eq for each channel. Keep mids 12:00-3:00 and bass somewhere between 9:00-12:00. Treble not too high because it is first in the eq chain...so the less treble the more the other knobs do, the more treble the less the other knobs do. I usually keep treble 10:00-1:00...so then i get a mid boost sort of. To compensate for the darkness of the tone (which i like sometimes) just add prescence. That usually does the trick. Also run output higher than the master for each channel.

its diffrent EQ, volume, and reverb for both channels, if im not mistaken.

if you like great marshall tone, you might also look into the sovtek mig series heads they got mig 30's, mig 50's, mig 60's, mig 100's, ect.... my buddy has a mig 60 and it has great overall tone and gets way loud for 60w.... it kinda has that good old jcm sound like the 800's and 900's... alittle more unique... definately usable dist, not death metal, but teamed up with a decent o.d. pedal and you could get more gain than the law should allow.
plus they go for way reasonable prices.

just my 2 cents... but the dsl's are freaking bad ass too.
