(This isn't flaming) You could check out their website, www.mesaboogie.com for the specific details.

Basically, the Dual is 100W and the Triple is 150W. (The Single Rectifier is 50W, see the pattern? Pretty slick).

Not to mention the Triple is a lot more expensive than the Dual.

I'm sure there are other differences.

Oh yeah, I forgot: The Triple has one more 6L6 tube and one more 5U4 tube than the Dual.

Besides what he just said... the Dual is much, much better, and the Triple is a complete waste of money. 150 watts is way too much for anyone who isn't playing stadiums.

But then it wouldn't be a waste if you're playing stadiums.

Hence, it's only a waste of money based on your position in life.

i prefer the dual over all, it just has more headroom than the single and as far as volume goes... the triple really isnt much louder. and fyi the triple isnt very much more expensive at all. at guitarcenter out here it goes like this.... single recto:1,400, dual:1,500, and tripl:1,600.
you could still play a stadium with a single recto, any amp is loud enough when its miked, which is what they will do in huge venues and stuff anyways.

Those prices only apply to where ever you live. The closest Mesa dealer to me jacks up their prices, I have to make a special trip to the closest Guitar Center for serious shopping.

I wonder why some people think that the triple doesn't sound as good as a dual. IMO it's a bunch of dual owners who feel stupid because they spent 1500 on a dual, and didn't spend the extra 100 to get the triple. Straight up, if you can spend 1500 on an amp, another 100 bucks isn't a lot of money. If the triples weren't as good, than why does Kirk Hammet own 2 of them? This guy has probably played every amp on the market. Triple sound just as good as duals, there just louder. If you have the extra 100 than spend it.

Here (Canada), the price diff is $1200, $1400, $1600. I think the dual sounds a little better than the triple (no, I don't own a dual, so I'm not a bumed out dual owner who feels stupid for not buying a triple).

150w is only around 1db louder than a 100w anyways, so it's not like we're talking about huge gain in volume.

again, that's just my opinion. The dual doen't sound any better than the triple. Why would Mesa make an amp that doesn't sound as good, and sell it for more. Duals sounding better is just some jerk off rumor created by someone talking out their ass.

Also, I still say if you got 1400 to drop on an amp, 1600 isn't that much more. Just MY opinion though. Maybe you think different. I don't regret buying the triple. I would have regret buying the dual.
