Multiple cabs?

Hello fellow guitar geeks, I'm pretty new this place, but I have been reading many discussions on this website and have concluded that it would be the best place for the mind-boggling question that I can't seem to find the answer for, which is:

I have an Orange Rocker 30, and I have been wondering, is it possible to use it with more than just two 16 ohm cabinets? I read that you could connect one cab directly to the amp head and then connect the rest of the cabs to each other (since the 1/4" inputs in the back could supposedly also double as outputs), but I'm still not sure because I haven't been able to find any more information on the matter. This question has been eating at my mind, and if any of you orange experts know the answer, please let me know.

Two 16 ohm cabs in parallel will give you an 8 ohm load. The amp doesn't care how many cabs you have as long as the load is matched or close. With most amps you can run a 16 ohm load on an 8 ohm tap. If you seriesed two sets of 16 ohm cabs then paralled that you would still have 16 ohm load. Or...you could parallel a two sets aof 16 ohm caps then series that for, again a 16 ohm load. If the amp has a 16 hom tap use it. You would probably be wise to wire up a junction box and label it. It's done all of the time.

So basically you're saying that I would have to slightly modify the internal wirings of the individual speakers in each cabinet in order to make my idea work? Interesting...I'm not very good with that kind of electronic wiring stuff lol. But thank you nonetheless, you seem like a very knowledgable individual who is well versed in matters such as these.

Look up series and parallel wiring diagrams. It's not rocket science (nope not trying to be condescending) it's probably one of the easiest projects you will ever do. My Vox cab I actually wired DPDT switch to change back and forth between series and parallel for my different amp heads. That way I can change between 4ohms and 16ohms for my Fender and Orange.

To your modifying gear friends you will look and feel like a n00b, but to those friends who can't tell the difference between a resistor and a capacitor, you'll be the James Dean of wiring. (seriously, people are impressed by simple things they don't know, chances are you'll impress yourself that you did something and it works. I get the same stupid feeling every time I change a resistor, or replace something with a jumper or add a switch. It's like "I did something and it still works!")
