Orange 4x12

I just recently got an endorsement from Orange and am in need of a cab. Does anybody have a orange 4x12 or has anyone played though one?

I have a 76 JMP MKII 100 watt and a Dual Rectifier with EL34s. What should i expect from this cab?

Also, my JMP has a single 8ohm output on the back. Isn't this Orange cab 16ohm? What do i have to do to be able to use my JMP with this cab?

I have one.

It's the best damn thing ever. The bassiest cab I've ever used. Even on wheels. I love my tone with it, I'm using a Bassman head and well, it's like tonal bliss for me.

As for the impeedance, I think you can have an 8 into a 16. not quite sure though.

Lately,i've seen almost as many orange cabs in touring bands live rigs as i have marshall and mesa cabs, that says something. (mostly heavish bands).

I like them. If you have an endorsement get a whole ad140 half stack and if you don't like it sell it to me cheap.

You can run 8 ohms into 16 but not 16 into 8...well you could but that'd cause damage.

Orange cabs will work with your set up. I run a Hot rod deville into a 2x12.

How'd you get that endorsement? I'm looking for a few right now.

All the band has right now are shirt endorsements and possibly a flight case deal.

I know you can rewire the cab to 4ohms (I have a 2x12 and did it) but I think what you want to do is leave it a 16ohms and then get another 16ohm cab and run them together to make 8ohms and then you should be fine. And if you get an orange be prepaired to have tons of low end.

Do they give you free Tshirts or do they pay you to wear them at gigs?

8 ohms into a 16 ohm cab is fine. Enjoy your lovely new cab.

I have a newer 2x12 with Vintage 30s, which sounds great. I also have a 70s 4x12 with two Webers and two Rola Greenbacks. It sounds really nice too. As others have said, the lowend response is really, really good.

J*Dizzle:
So does the stock 2x12 have two 8ohm speakers wired in series? I guess it would probably have to in order to rewire it for 4 Ohms. My 4x12 has 4 16 Ohm speakers wired in parallel for 16 ohms total. I'm running both at the same time though, so 16 each in parallel for a total of 8 is perfect for me.

Justin.

I have the AD30TC through an orange 4x12, and I will never sell it. This stack has amazing tone. The cab is a tank, and sounds fantastic.

Free shirts. We're unpaid by the comps so I guess sponsorships would be a better word?.
