small marshall prob

my marshall mg100hdfx's sound fades in and out. i just recently use a power conditioner with it (i just used it for my pedals) and thats when i noticed the problem. they were both plugged into the same circuit and when i plugged directly into the amp with the conditioner off and unplugged, there was no problem. this doesnt take a genious to realize the the power cond. is causing the problem, but i was wondering if anybody knows how i can solve this cause i dont have many outlets in my basement and i gotta plug my pedals in somehow so is there anything i can do to solve this?

If all the outlets in your basement are on the same circuit, you may have to run an extension cord from another circuit's outlet to your basement. This should take care of your problems. If you don't have a good one handy, you should be able to pick one up at a store like Walmart for cheap, maybe around $20(not sure about the price). If you need a longer one, any hardware store/building supplies dealer should be able to help you out.

Doesn't sound like there's any problems with your gear, just the circuit in your basement. Maybe it's a lower current circuit than you need.

I have similar

My MG fades in and out as well with or without pedals. It started recently. Would this be a Transistor or perhaps a power supply? I have had this for years and this is the second time I had to repair it.It is an original MG100HDFX

I have a love/hate relationship with the MG series.
I used an MG30 for years, it was an older model too, from the 90s.
It had a really nice sound to it considering it was solid state, to be perfectly honest I actually PREFERED it to some tube combo amps that I've used.
But it was CONSTANTLY giving me problems, I must have had it repaired a dozen times.
Now the only MG i use is a tiny little 10 watter purley for practice only.
