I am fairly new to guitaring..... just about to hook up with some friends to muck around as a tentative band......

Basically i am trying to compete wit a drum kit and a marshall 100 watt valvestate.......

Here's the thing.....

Is it feasable to go straight from an effects processor with a pre-amp (I am currently using didgitech RP5, but may upgrade if this works) dierectly to a 2 speaker (100+ watts) extension box? Does it just connect through a normal guitar lead (or spe******ed amp lead with the same sized plug)

why/why not etc...
