will i damage my guitar amp if i play bass through it?

i have a fender blues junior and a marshall class 5

You will not damage the amplifier with the signal. You will damage the speaker and the damaged speaker will damage your the amplifier. If you run a bass cabinet off of the amp, the amp won't care. But it will probably sound like crap.
