versatile moderatly priced bass for home-recording
I finally want to start some home-recording (recommendations appriciated) and am now looking for a bass in the price range up to say 350€. So far I've had a closer look at Squier P- and J-basses but I was wondering whether there are more versatile options possibly even with active electronics.
Thanks for your help! |

IMO the Squier Vintage Modified line up offers the best bang-for-buck ratio out there today. Good wood. Decent parts. Well assembled.
And for versatility: Jazz all the way. Vintage Modified Jazz Bass® by Squier® Basses Look on CL and you can find them used for <$300. That's a freakin' steal.

I agree with iarsee (which kinda rhymes - yay me).
Either that or find an older Squier second somewhere.

hmm, I think since I have not found any other alternatives in the meantime that narrows down the choices to one. Thanks!
Sorry to hijack my own thread but it seems like the recording gear section is only read by few people: I still need recommendations on home-recording gear |
