Amps with Crisp Clean AND Distortion Channels
i play metal and am a praise and worship guitarist for my church. i have a decent solid state amp (crate GT212) and want a better amp, preferably tube. from what i've seen, i like the mesa dual rect. That has been the closest to what im looking for i've heard yet. I live in a small town that doesn't have a guitar center or any other large music store so i can try one. my current setup isnt excellent, but its what i have so far. Ibanez RG 570 w/ Steve Vai pups, Crate GT212, Morely (cant remember the numbers) Dist./Wah/vol. combo, and a good old fashioned DOD Death Metal Distortion pedal.

There are other great (and possibly better) amps out there. Why dont you try some ENGL powerball? I'f you are determined to get something scooped, then why not try the laney ironheart? Try and see if you can't go to a guitar center or something. Try out some different amps, and don't get hooked on a recto just because everyone has one.
