uhh...... i wouldnt know why. were more obsessed with his tone than he is

Its actually an inside joke between mike and his guitar tech. Mike is Jewish and he chose the AC-30. His guitar tech is Mexican and he chose the Marshall.

i dont know if this has been answered yet...but in mikeys rig there is that effects thing that he uses at the beginning or sick sad little extended solo part that is on the stand. what is that called?
