They appear to be some retro marshall cabs. Not really sure.

As I drooled front row I can confirm that he uses the phase 90 for the first part of the solo and the super phaser for the second part.

How's the gonk?

from what i've heard, the gonk is only good if you want to cover 'glass'. its a one trick pony. if you want a real ring mod you should look into the moog or electro harmonix.

however, i dont have any experience with the gonkulator, so i dont know from a first hand basis.

I think it's an old 70's-80's plexi.

I was listening to "11 am" a little while ago and I really dig the clean sound he gets for the arpeggiated clean Pre-Chorus (the "Forgive my indecision" part). Any idea how [approximately] his clean channel is set? I've been trying to peg it for awhile, but I'm at a loss.

The pics of his board were awesome. Saving those to my hardrive!

mikes guitar tech posts sometimes on an incubus message board and said it was a 100 watt plexi that he had "tinkered" with a bit i dont know exactly what he modded or did with it but check out incubus-online-view.com's message board and there is an entire forum for discussing mikes gear

his cleans are set pretty dirty with a fair amount of treble and mids. i think he used to layer his clean and dirty amps. i dont know if he still does, though.

hey..

Pardon me as a newbie. But I think the debate about phasers has gone on quite a while. Can we start talking about other aspects of the board i.e. distorition and delay? Because that is what I'm REALLY interested in.

I've been playing for 3 years now and I'm just getting ready to lay down a few hundred for my first pedals and I'm wondering what to get. So far I have the PH-2 and a Phase 90 on my list. Any more help from you guys would be appreciated.

As far as distortions go,
DOD overdrive 250
Digitech tone driver

Good ol' fashioned tube amp distortion is really the best. IMO

alright thanks..

is that what Mike uses? or is that just your favorites?

I really want that slow phased distortion tone mike gets in "Pardon Me" and some other songs.
